Dorsal is a highly advanced solution for reporting and receiving alerts about shark sightings. It functions as a free community-based platform that enables beachgoers and authorities to promptly inform others in their area about shark sightings or attacks.

With over 250,000 users currently leveraging the Dorsal solution, it provides reports from official sources, the public, Dorsal's aerial surveillance partners, and more than 100 media outlets. Currently, Dorsal is available in Australia, the USA, and Hawaii.

• Select your desired location from Australia, USA, Hawaii, or Réunion
• Search your local area to check for any shark sightings in the past 12 hours
• Explore nearby sightings through either map or list view
• Contribute your own sightings to notify others, including the option to upload videos and images

In addition to the free service, there is a subscription option for $9.99 per year. This subscription removes in-app advertisements and enables automatic push notifications of sightings within your GPS location or favorite locations.

The subscription fee will be charged to your iTunes account and may vary by country. You will be shown the total price before completing the payment. To avoid renewal, you must turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. You can manage this by adjusting your iTunes account settings.

Note: The Dorsal app has background location tracking enabled, allowing you to continue using your iPhone for other tasks while remaining informed about shark activity. However, please be aware that continued use of GPS in the background may significantly reduce battery life.
